The Kent IT Clinic, founded in October 2004, is a small organisation working in association with the University of Kent at both Canterbury and Medway sites. We offer a range of services including Computer Maintenance, Network Support, Web Design and Database Administration to name a few.
Our business is very unique as it is run by IT consultants who are undergraduate students at the University of Kent. Many of our consultants have completed industrial placements for major companies such as Intel, IBM and Microsoft giving them significant experience in both Business and Technical roles. The relationships between the Kent IT Clinic consultants and its clients are managed by full time IT professionals and closely mentored by staff members of the Kent University School of Computing.
The KITC is part of the Medway Fairtrader Scheme and was shortlisted for the Computing Awards for Excellence in 2008. The business also achieved the Technology Enterprise award in Kent. IBM UK has been a strong supporter of the work that the KITC does since its inception, precisely because of the skill set it imparts to all students.
